Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd and 3rd respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.03.2019 and pass order by retransferring him from Bengaluru to Chennai within a period as prescribed by this Hon'ble Court. O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 2 and 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.03.2019 and to pass orders by re-transferring him from Bengaluru to Chennai within a period as prescribed by this Court.

2.Mr.Jaiganesh, learned Central Government Standing Counsel takes notice on behalf of the first respondent. Mr.A.P.Venkatachalapathy, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondents 2 and 3. Heard the arguments advanced on either side.

3.The case of the petitioner is that on 20.08.2018, the petitioner was issued with an order of transfer from Chennai to Bengaluru for a period of one month with effect from 23.08.2018, however, the petitioner was not re-transferred to Chennai. Hence, the petitioner made representation dated 18.03.2019 to the respondents seeking to issue an order of re-transfer and since the same has not yet been considered, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that without going into the merits of the case, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.03.2019 and to pass appropriate orders.

5.Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, I am inclined to issue direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.03.2019, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
