(MS) No 140 dated 30.06.2025 and also directing the competent authority to formulate and notify appropriate guidelines (Eligibility for admission, mode of admission / admission policy etc) for the conduct of Working Professional courses in Engineering colleges of Tamil Nadu for the academic year 2025-26 and consequently, directing the respondents to extend the last date for admission beyond 04.09.2025 for the petitioner Institution's Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) working professional courses, to enable admissions for the academic year 2025-2026.

This Writ Petition is filed seeking for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to consider and grant NOC and affiliation to the petitioner institution - Excel Engineering College - Page Nos.2/6
for conducting Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) courses for working professional for the academic year 2025-2026 in accordance with AICTE Extension of approval dated 10.04.2025 and G.O. (MS) No 140 dated 30.06.2025 and also directing the competent authority to formulate and notify appropriate guidelines (Eligibility for admission, mode of admission / admission policy etc.) for the conduct of Working Professional courses in Engineering colleges of Tamil Nadu for the academic year 2025-26 and consequently, directing the respondents to extend the last date for admission beyond 04.09.2025 for the petitioner Institution's Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) working professional courses, to enable admissions for the academic year 20252026.
2. Heard, Mr.Kandhan Duraisami, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.S.Arumugam, learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent and Mr.U.Baranidharan, learned Standing counsel appearing for respondents 2 to 4 and perused the materials available on record.
3. Considering the prayer sought for in this writ petition and also Page Nos.3/6
considering the submissions made by learned counsel on either side, this Court, without expressing any opinion on merits of the writ petition, directs the second respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 05.07.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to all the necessary parties, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
