PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, seeking a direction to expedite the transfer of the Appeal in T.A.T.No.25/2022 pending on the file of the Taxation Appellate Tribunal, Ripon Building, Chennai 3, to the Principal Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai and to dispose of the said Appeal expeditiously within a reasonable time frame. O R D E R

By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondents 1 to 3, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the 1st respondent to transfer the Appeal in T.A.T.No.25/2022, pending on the file of the Registrar, Taxation Appellate Tribunal, Ripon Buildings, Chennai to the Principal Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai in view of the Section 100 of the Tamil Nadu Urban Local Bodies (Amendment) Act, 2022. 2/5

3. Ms.S.Vanitha Joice Rani, learned counsel who is taking notice for the respondents 1 to 3, would submit that the Appeal papers in T.A.T.No.25/2022 will be transferred to the 4th respondent within a period of ten working days.

4. The said statement made by the learned counsel appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 is recorded and the 1st respondent is directed to transfer the Appeal papers in T.A.T.No.25/2022 pending on his file to the file of 4th respondent, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
