By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of Mandamus directing 1st and 2nd respondents to consider and dispose of representation dated 11.08.2025 and consequently carry out mutation in the property tax records of Greater Chennai Corporation.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for petitioner that petitioner's mother submitted a representation on 11.08.2025 to the 2nd respondent seeking mutation in the property tax records in respect of the property bearing T.S.No.1273, situated at Door No.486, Asharkhana Street, Alandur, Chennai-600

016. It is stated that petitioner submitted the aforesaid representation seeking change of name in the property tax record from Azeeza Bee MR to Asmath Begum R in respect of Property Tax Receipt No.2024-25/N160/1765846, however, the same has not been considered by the respondents till date. 2/6

Aggrieved, petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

At the outset, Mrs.S.Vanitha Joice Rani, learned Standing Counsel who takes notice for respondents would submit that petitioner's representation dated 11.08.2025 would be considered by respondents and appropriate orders would be passed in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. Agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.

In view of the same, taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition,there shall be a direction to the Respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.08.2025, on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested persons/stake holders, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for receipt of certified copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the case on its own merits and in accordance with law.
