This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other writ or direction, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representations dated 30.11.2017. For Petitioners : Mr.Giridharan For Respondents : Mr.A.V.Ramalingam, Addl.Gov.Pleader (Puducherry) for R1 to R3
ORDER
This petition has been filed for direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representations dated 30.11.2017.
2. The petitioners were engaged as daily rated Sanitary workers w.e.f. 16.09.1999 in the 3rd respondent Municipality. On completion of one year/three years of service, some 62 similarly placed persons were granted conferment of Temporary Status w.e.f. 18.10.2002. Though the petitioners have completed three years of service, they were left out of the scheme of conferment of temporary status in the year 2002, resulting in depriving of benefits under the temporary status scheme of 1993. Hence, they made representations dated 03.10.2016 and 30.11.2017 to the 3rd respondent, but they did not consider their representation. Hence this petition.
3. The learned Additional Government Pleader (Puducherry) submitted that, the representations of the petitioner will be considered in accordance with rule.
4. Inview of the above submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, without expressing any opinion on merits, this court directed the 3rd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 30.11.2017 on merits, in accordance with law, by passing individual orders to the petitioners, as far as possible, within 12 weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. The connected writ miscellaneous petition is closed.
