ORDER

The petitioner's grievance in this writ petition is that the family pension payable to her in respect of her deceased husband M.A.Ganesh Mani, who was the employee with the respondent Transport Corporation has not been paid till date. 2.

According to the petitioner, her husband M.A.Ganesh Mani died on 24.07.2022 while he was in service. The petitioner has to submit an application as per the prescribed format with the respondent Transport Corporation for family pension. 3.

Learned standing counsel appearing for the respondent Transport Corporation, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner has not submitted the said application as per the prescribed format. He would further submit that once the same is received by the respondent Transport Corporation, the same will be considered on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

also agree that the petitioner is willing to submit an application to the respondent Transport Corporation in the prescribed format seeking for payment of family pension amount for the death of her husband M.A.Ganesh Mani, who was the employee with the respondent Transport Corporation.

For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the petitioner to submit an application to the respondent Transport Corporation as per their prescribed format seeking for family pension amount for the death of her husband M.A.Ganesh Mani while he was in service with the respondent Transport Corporation within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the said application, the first respondent is directed to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the said application within a period of eight weeks thereafter.

With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
