[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to produce the detenu Karthik (M), aged 27 years, S/o.Munusamy, residing at Murugan Koil Street, Kuzhavadayan Village, Udayarpalayam Taluk, Ariyalur District, now confined at Central Prison, Tiruchirappalli, as per the order of the preventive detention passed by the second respondent under Act 14 of 1982, before this Court and call for the records pertaining to the detention order of the second respondent in Crl.M.P.No.30 of 2019 dated 30.09.2019 and quash the same and set the detenu at liberty.

Pursuant to the order dated 23.03.2020, the High Court vide Roc.No.39824/2020/F1 dated 28.12.2020, has circulated a Standard Operating Procedure for videographing the taking of the blood samples in the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act Cases and other criminal cases for DNA profiling.
