Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1st to 12th to consider the representation dated 23.02.2015, 22.05.2015, 27.05.2015 and 10.02.2016 sent by the petitioner and to rake appropriate action to remove the encroachments, cancel the pattas, void the forged registered documents, remove the beam charges related to all type of Government lands in Villangadu Village, Kanchipuram District within stipulated time limit. ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We heard Ms.Kanimozhimathi, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader assisted by Mrs.R.Anitha, learned Special Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 12, Mr.R.Karunagaran, learned counsel for respondents 19 & 20 and Mr.Rengaramanujam, learned counsel for respondent 23.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the representations given on 23.02.2015, 22.05.2015, 27.05.2015 and 10.02.2016, with regard to the encroachments in various lands by the private respondents, have not been considered by the official respondents.

3. According to learned State Government Pleader, no pattas have been issued in respect of S.Nos.94, 89, 93, 111, 120 & 127 of Vilangadu Village and no encroachers are noticed in the said survey numbers. No patta is alloted in respect of the lands to respondents 13 to 24.

4. Be that as it may. Learned counsel for respondents 13 to 18 submits that he has no instructions in the matter.

5. It will not be possible to embark upon the dispute in the writ petition. The petitioner has already given representations, as indicated in the writ petition. The Government shall consider the representations on merits and in accordance with law, preferably within nine months.

6. The writ petition, as such, stands disposed of. There will be no order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.15283 of 2017 is closed. (S.V.G., CJ.) (P.D.A., J.) 07.07.2023 Index :
