This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the arbitration case filed by the petitioner, who is seeking for enhancement of compensation.
2.The case of the petitioner is that his lands were acquired by the Highways Department. A compensation was fixed and the petitioner was not satisfied with the amount fixed. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation to the 1st respondent on 15.09.2014, seeking for enhancement of the award amount. Since, the same was not considered, the petitioner made subsequent representations. The same did not evoke any response and therefore, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.
3.Heard Mr.P.Vinodh Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.D.Raja, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2. 4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief that has been sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 15.09.2014 and deal with the same in accordance with law and pass final orders within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the 1st respondent along with a copy of the representation dated 15.09.2014 and a copy of this order.
This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
