Contempt petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 to punish the respondents for wilful disobedience of the order passed by this Court in WP.No.8858 of 2024 dated 28.03.2024 as per the Contempt of Court Act.

ORDER

This contempt petition has been filed to punish the respondents for wilful disobedience of the order passed by this Court in WP.No.8858 of 2024 dated 28.03.2024, thereby the respondents were directed to settle the pending terminal benefits of the petitioner after deducting any due from the petitioner, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of that order.

2. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents 2/4

1 & 2 produced a stamp receipt of Tamilnadu State Transport Corporation (VPM) Ltd., Kancheepuram Region dated 02.01.2025, before this Court, through which the petitioner received gratuity final settlement and submitted that the order passed by this Court on 28.03.2024 in WP.No.8858 of 2024 has been complied.

3. In view of the aforesaid receipt dated 02.01.2025, this contempt petition is closed.
