This contempt petition has been filed on the ground that the respondent herein has not complied with the order dated 01.07.2016 in Crl.O.P.No.13760 of 2016, wherein, the relief sought was a direction to the police to investigate the case in Crime No.1337 of 2015 and file a final report expeditiously.
2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, Mrs.P.Kritika Kamal, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that pursuant to the interim order dated 20.02.2020 passed by this Court in this Contempt Petition, the police have conducted further investigation and filed supplementary final report on 05.07.2020 in C.C.No.905 of 2020 in the Court of the XXIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai.
3. The aforesaid submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) is recorded.
4. It is to be clarified that in the order dated 20.02.2020 passed by this Court, the number of the C.C. has been wrongly typed as "C.C.No.80905 of 2020", instead of "C.C.No.905 of 2020".
In view of the fact that supplementary final report has been filed on 05.07.2020 in C.C.No.905 of 2020, this Contempt Petition stands closed.
