Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to provide police protection to enable the petitioner to remove its machineries from the factory premises situated at S.No.487, Valapuram Village, Perambakkam Road, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kanchipuram District 602 105 and ensure that the workmen who were members of the second respondent are kept 500 meters away from the main gate and factory premises and maintain law and order and peace in and around petitioner's factor premises.

ORDER

The writ petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to provide police protection to enable the petitioner to remove its machineries from the factory premises situated at S.No.487, Valapuram Village, Perambakkam Road, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kanchipuram District 602 105 and ensure that the workmen who were members of the second respondent are kept 500 meters away from the main gate and factory premises and maintain law and order and peace in and around petitioner's factor premises. 2.

Now, almost three years have been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted now. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh petition, on fresh cause of action, if so advised. 3.

With the above observations, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
