Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 26.09.2022 by providing an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners as well as the other respondents.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus seeking consideration of the representation given by the petitioners to the 1st respondent on 26.09.2022. The 1st petitioner had purchased Plot No.61 and

later the 2nd petitioner / wife of the 1st petitioner also purchased Plot No.62, in the layout of Nolambur Village, in the outskirts of Chennai. To the shock of the petitioners, the adjacent plots had been determined for putting up of Sub Station by the 3rd and 4th respondents. The petitioners had given a representation before the 1st respondent / the Member Secretary, Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority.

2.There is no representation on behalf of the 1st respondent or from the 2nd respondent.

3.Mr.L.Jai Venkatesh, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the 3rd and 4th respondents.

4.Let the 1st respondent, issue notice to the petitioners and to the 2nd, 3rd and 4th respondents and convene a meeting on any particular date, on or before 15.02.2023 and thereafter, examine the representations of all the parties and pass necessary orders. At any rate, the orders shall be passed on or before 31.03.2023.

5.The learned counsel for the petitioners may forward a copy of this order to the 1st respondent or to the Standing Counsel for the 1st respondent. 6.A further direction is issued that the 3rd and 4th respondents may keep in abeyance the work, if started, till the meeting is called for by the 1st respondent.

7.With the above observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
