This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition has been filed to exempt the petitioner from surrender before the learned III Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai in C.C.No.540 of 2017 in view of the direction passed in Crl.A.No.2 of 2021 by the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Chennai.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that today i.e., on 21.11.2023, the petitioner voluntarily surrendered before the learned III Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai and was taken to custody and lodged in the prison and seeks permission of this Court to withdraw this petition.

3.
