The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's 1/6

application dated 11.01.2022 vide Can No.0330313061674 and application No:2022/0105/35/357321 for grant of patta after sub division to the petitioner.

2.The case of the petitioner is that, the property in S.No.99/1 (part) situated in Pammal Village, Saidapet Taluk, Chennai measuring an extent of 500 Sq.Mts (I.e.5170 Sq.ft) together with right to common passage, is an self acquired property of the petitioner by a registered Sale Deed vide Doc.No.4302 of 2012 dated 06.08.2012 before the SRO at Pammal from one Kulsum Bee. Thereafter, the petitioner made an application dated 11.01.2022 vide Can No.0330313061674 and application No:2022/0105/35/357321 for grant of patta after sub division for the aforesaid property. However, the same has not been considered and hence, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition.

3.Though very many grounds have been raised, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would suffice if this Court issues direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's application dated 11.01.2022 vide Can No.0330313061674 and application No:2022/0105/35/357321 for 2/6

grant of patta after sub division for the aforesaid property and pass orders on the same within a particular time frame fixed by this Court. 4.Mr.U.Bharanidharan, the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents submits that if any direction is given by this Court, the same will be complied with.

5.In view of the aforesaid submissions, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.01.2022 vide Can No.0330313061674 and application No:2022/0105/35/357321, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
