..Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records of the respondent in his proceedings in G.D.No.2863/2016-17 dated 08.01.2017 and quash this detention order as illegal and contrary to the provisions of the TNVAT Act and direct the respondent to release the goods.

With the consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up and heard today through Video Conferencing.

2. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the goods were released pursuant to the impugned detention notice dated 08.01.2017. Therefore, he does not intend to get along with the Writ Petition, since the grievance of the petitioner has been considerably met.

3. In the light of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, no effective orders can be passed in the present Writ Petition. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs. 30.09.2020 Index:Yes/No DP
