O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking directions to the second respondent police not to harass the petitioner in respect of the Crime No.420/2024 on the file of the second respondent police.

According to the petitioner, based on the complaint given by one Mr.Prakasam, he was summoned by the respondent police and he also appeared and thereafter continuously the petitioner was harassed by the respondent police by way of phone call.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent police would submit that it is a case of suspicious death and prior to the death, the petitioner purchased the property from the deceased. Therefore the respondent police wants to interrogate the petitioner and hence summoned him for enquiry and there is no harassment as alleged by the petitioner. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for respondents and perused the materials available on record.

It is seen that based on the complaint given by one Mr.Prakasam, FIR has been registered in Cr.No.420 of 2024 under Section 194 of BNSS i.e. for suspicious death. Further it is stated that the petitioner purchased property from the deceased just prior to the death. Therefore the respondent police issued summons and the petitioner instead of co-operating for investigation, rushed to this Court.

In view of the above, this criminal original petition stands dismissed.
