Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to issue patta in respect of the property of the petitioner measuring an extent of Acre 1.00 comprised in Old No.23/2 and New Survey No.100/1A, in Kottakuppam Revenue Village, Vanur Taluk, Villupuram District, based on the application of the petitioner's mother Amaravathy dated 02.07.2022 through online Application No.2022/0105/07/404714 and the subsequent representation of the petitioner dated 05.07.2022 with Challan.

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to issue patta in respect of the property of the petitioner measuring an extent of Acre 1.00 comprised in Old No.23/2 and New Survey No.100/1A, in Kottakuppam Revenue Village, Vanur Taluk, Villupuram District, based on the application of the petitioner's mother Amaravathy dated 02.07.2022 2/6

through online Application No.2022/0105/07/404714 and the subsequent representation of the petitioner dated 05.07.2022 with Challan.

2.The case of the petitioner is that one Diwan Manicka Kandappa Mudaliar owned larger extent of the property in Kottakuppam Village and the petitioner's father purchased the subject property from his legal heirs, however, the petitioner's father did not take any steps to mutate the revenue records. After the petitioner's father's demise, his mother made application seeking to sub-divide the property and to issue patta and recently, the petitioner's mother also passed away and the petitioner has also made application to the Tahsildar seeking to survey the lands and mark the boundaries and for issuance of patta, however, their applications were not considered. Hence, this writ petition.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that without going into the merits of the case, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's 3/6

representation dated 05.07.2022 and to pass appropriate orders within a reasonable time frame.

4.Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.07.2022, on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.This writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
