Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to issue patta to petitioner house premises situated in survey No 46/2, Alamara 1/6

Street, Kandipedu Village and P.O Katpadi Taluk, Vellore District, under the one time settlement scheme benefits issued to other residence in the same survey number by considering petitioner's representation dated 03.07.2023.

O R D E R

The Writ Petition seeks mandamus to issue patta in respect of the house property situate in No 46/2, Alamara Street, Kandipedu Village and P.O Katpadi Taluk, Vellore District. Under the one time settlement scheme, it has been extended to other residents in the same survey number.

2. The petitioner's contention is that he has submitted his representation dated 03.07.2023 to the respondents. The objection 2/6

that has been put forward by the respondents is that the property is a water body.

3. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that others residing in the same survey number have been issued patta.

4. Therefore, taking into consideration the above submission, mandamus is issued to the respondents to consider the representation dated 03.07.2023 and pass orders, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after hearing the petitioner. The respondents shall take into consideration the patta, if any granted to other persons in the same survey number. In case of a rejection a speaking order shall be passed.

5. With the above observation, the Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
