(Made by S. Vaidyanathan,J.) The prayer in the writ petition is for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing 2nd and 3rd respondents to publish results of preliminary examination conducted on 19.08.2023 for the post of Civil Judge in the Tamil Nadu Judicial Service.

The case of the petitioner is that pursuant to notification No. 12/2023 dated 01.06.2023 issued by the 2nd respondent for filling up 245 vacancies of Civil Judges in Tamil Nadu State Judicial Service, the petitioner had applied and attended the preliminary examination conducted on 19.08.2023. The grievance of the petitioner is that without publishing the results of preliminary examination, the Commission had shorlisted 2544 candidates directly to write the main examination scheduled to be held on 04.11.2023 and 05.11.2023. Hence, the present writ petition with the 2\4

prayer aforesaid.

Heard both sides.

4.

The relief sought by the petitioner cannot be granted at this distance of time since the main examination is scheduled to be held on 04.11.2023 and 05.11.2023 and hall tickets would also have been issued for the said examination. When the candidates have been already shortlisted to S. VAIDYANATHAN,J.

AND K. RAJASEKAR,J.

nv appear for the main examination, publishing the results of the preliminary examination at this juncture does not arise. The writ petition is accordingly dismissed. No costs. Connected W.M.P. is closed. (S.V.N.J.) (K.R.S.J.) nv 03.11.2023 To 1.
