ORDER

This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu.W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025.

2. This case is registered in Cr.No.35 of 2020 dated 14.01.2020 for alleged offences under Section 379 and 511 of Indian Penal Code. The accused attempted to steal battery from the defacto Complainant's vehicles. Considering the factual matrix, context of the case, the absence of antecedents against the accused, and the fact that the accused remains untraceable and summons/warrants could not be executed for the past five years despite best efforts.

3. Accordingly, the case in CC.No.982/2022 on the file of the XXIII METROPOLITAN MAGISTRATE COURT, Saidapet Taluk, Chennai shall stand quashed and this Suo Motu Transfer Case stand disposed of. 11.09.2025 shl electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary.
