Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to remove the encroachments in the large lake and Sitheri lake at Pidagam Village, Villupuram Taluk and District and to remove the waste sand sediments from the lake and lay or built the boundaries properly on all sides of the lakes.

ORDER
(Order of the court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.D.Senthil Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.
2. Learned Special Government Pleader submits that a status report has been filed by the Assistant Executive Engineer, Water Resources Department, Lower Pennaiyar Basin Sub Division, Tirukkovilore at Villupuram and all encroachments, as contended in the writ petition, have been removed.
3. In view of the status report filed, nothing survives for consideration in this writ petition.
4. The writ petition, as such, is disposed of. There will be no
order as to costs.
