Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the representations 28.04.2017 and 15.05.2017 and to forbearing the respondents from interfering with the petitioner's enjoying property which is situated in S.No.341/51B, Spread over 05750 Sq Mts at Jamin Oallavaram Village, Pallavaram, Tambaram Taluk, Kancheepuram District.

ORDER

The learned counsel for the petitioner made a submission that the writ petitioner died during the pendency of the writ petition and therefore, no further adjudication needs to be undertaken.

2. The learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents 1 to 3 made a submission that the petitioner has encroached upon the Government land.

3. If any other person, after the death of the petitioner, is in occupation of the encroached land, the District Collector and the competent authorities are directed to invoke the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act and evict the encroachers by following the procedures

contemplated in law.

4. With these directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
