ORDER
This writ petition is filed to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.06.2018 and pass appropriate order to promote the petitioner to Junior Engineer Mechanical Grade I with effect from 04.05.2006, together with all monetary benefits.
2.By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
3.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was appointed as Fitter Grade-III in Mettur Thermal Power Station and subsequently promoted to Fitter Grade-II in June 1992 which is equivalent to Line Inspector and further to Grade-I. Since 1/4 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
no further promotion has been given to the petitioner, seeking promotion to the post of Junior Engineer Grade-II, the petitioner approached this Court by several writ petitions. On 27.06.2018, the petitioner made a representation to the respondent seeking appropriate order to promote the petitioner to the post of Junior Engineer - Mechanical Grade I with effect from 04.05.2006 together with all monetary benefits. Since no response, this writ petition came to be filed. 4.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would suffice if the respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.06.2018. 5.The learned standing counsel for the respondent submits that the petitioner's representation will be considered within a period of 12 weeks.
6.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, I am inclined to issue direction to the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 27.06.2019, if not disposed already, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
