ORDER

By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. In view of the order that this Court proposes to pass and also the limited relief that is sought to be granted, notice to the Respondent No.4 is dispensed with.

The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus, to direct the 1st and 2nd respondent to consider petitioner's application dated 30.05.2024 and representation dated 22.08.2025, seeking to conduct survey and demarcate the boundaries of the land, comprised in Old Survey No.161/1 and New Survey No.161/1A, admeasuring an extent of 0.15 cents, situated in Kizhnalathur Village, Thiruvallur Taluk and District by availing the assistance of the 3rd respondent in the event of any obstruction from the 4th respondent. 2/5

At the outset, it is submitted by learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 and 2 that the date for survey is fixed on 04.09.2025 and would submit that the entire exercise would be completed within a period of 8 weeks from today after issuing notice to the petitioner, 4th respondent, adjacent land owners and any other interested parties including rival claimants, if any. He would also submit that if need arises they would take police protection for the purpose of conducting survey.

3.1. When this was pointed out, the learned Government Advocate, Mr.R.Kishore Kumar appearing for the Respondent No.3 would submit that if any request seeking police protection is made by respondents 1 and 2, adequate police protection will be granted.
