ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 3 rd respondent to release and settle the arrears of petitioner's salary for the period from February 2021 till date, based on the representation of the petitioner dated 12.07.2025.

2. Heard Mr.R.Muruga Bharathi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.V.Jeevagiridharan, learned Additional Government Pleader for the

respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.R.Vigneshwaran, learned Government Advocate for the 3 rd respondent.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner, who had retired from Government Service as Quality Check Inspector in the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation, was thereafter engaged as Godown InCharge under the Amma Cement Supply Scheme by proceedings of the 2 nd respondent dated 16.08.2018. It is the case of the petitioner that though his salary was fixed at Rs.15,000/- per month, the same was paid only intermittently and from June 2020, his salary was completely stopped. Certain arrears have been partly settled, but according to the petitioner, he is still entitled to arrears for 53 months i.e., from February 2021 to June 2025. In this regard, he sent a representation on 12.07.2025 to all the respondents. Since his representation dated 12.07.2025 has not been considered till date, the present writ petition has been filed.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited prayer sought for in this writ petition, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the 3 rd respondent to consider the case of the petitioner and pass orders on the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 12.07.2025 on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. In fine, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
