O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the respondent to take a final decision on the explanation given by the petitioner for the Show Cause Notice issued by the respondent on 05.08.2024. 2.Heard Mr.T.Karthick Srinath, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mrs.V.Sudha, learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent.

3.The case of the petitioner is that he was appointed as a Store Keeper in the University in the year 1988. After completing 34 years of service, he was permitted to retire w.e.f., 30.11.2022. The terminal benefits of the petitioner was not released and the pension benefits were not extended. 4.The further case of the petitioner is that the respondent through a communication dated 12.07.2023 informed the petitioner that the Local Fund Audit has raised some objection with respect to the pay of the petitioner and therefore, the petitioner's pay was revised and refixed in the post of Store 2/4

Keeper. The same was put to challenge before this Court in W.P.No.22260 of 2023. This writ petition was allowed by an order dated 10.06.2024. 5.The grievance of the petitioner is that instead of settling the terminal benefits, once again a Show Cause Notice was issued by the respondent dated 05.08.2024 calling upon the petitioner to submit the explanation. On receipt of the Show Cause Notice, the petitioner also gave an explanation dated 12.08.2024. The grievance of the petitioner is that no decision has been taken by the respondent in spite of the reply given by the petitioner for the Show Cause Notice. It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court seeking for appropriate directions. 6.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the nature of grievance expressed by the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the respondent to deal with the explanation given by the petitioner on 12.08.2024 for the Show Cause Notice dated 05.08.2024 and a final decision shall be taken, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
