O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents 3 and 4 to take necessary steps to celebrate Margazhi month Utsavam held on 17.12.2019 and Kanoom Pongal Chariot Thiruvizha dated 17.01.2020 of Arulmighu Dharmaraja Temple situated at Kannakurukkai Village, Pachal Post, Chengam Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 27.08.2019.

2.It is seen that on 27.08.2018, the petitioner had given a representation to the first respondent requesting permission to have a Margazhi religious function to commemorate the first day of Margazhi month on 17.12.2019 and also to celebrate Kanoom Pongal on 17.01.2020, on which date, a chariot of lord is also to be pulled on, in the streets of the village. Since the representation of the petitioner has not been considered, the petitioner is before this Court.

3.Heard Mr.Mariappan, the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Maharaja, the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.

4.Without dwelling into the details, the first respondent is directed to pass orders on the representation dated 27.08.2019, after following due procedure and such order should be passed on or before 13.12.2019.

5.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
