ORDER

This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025. 2.This case is registered in Cr.No.233 of 2018 for the alleged offence under Sections 379 I.P.C. The incident was occurred on 19.06.2018. The allegation in this case is that the accused has stolen Rs.200/- from the defactocomplainant's pant pocket. The matter has been pending since 2018. The defacto-complainant also remains untraceable. Page No.1 of 3

3.For all the above reasons, no meaningful trial can be completed herein after even if the accused is brought to face trial, it would impinge upon his right to a speedy trial and no useful purpose would be served. 4.Accordingly, the case in C.C.No.56 of 2020 of Judicial Magistrate I, Sankari Taluk, Salem, stands quashed. This Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of.

The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary.
