The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to grant leave to the petitioner for filing the main appeal in C.A.No. of 2023 as against the judgement of the appellate court in Crl.A.No.179 of 2021 dated 21.08.2023 passed by the learned XVIII Additional Judge at Chennai reversing the judgement of conviction passed by the learned FTC II Metropolitan Magistrate at Allikulam, Chennai dated 08.09.2021 in C.C.No.6612 of 2017.

2. Being satisfied with the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit filed in support of this petition, this petition stands allowed and leave is granted to the petitioner to prefer appeal.

3. Registry is directed to number the Criminal Appeal, if the papers are otherwise in order and list the same for admission.
