This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to pay the difference in payment of terminal benefits namely Gratuity, Leave Salary, commutation of pension, contribution of Retirement benefits scheme, arrears of pension and to pay the arrears of wages for the period from 01.09.2019 (Date of Settlement) to 30.06.2022 (Date of retirement) together with interest @ 6 percent per annum in terms of the 14th wage Revision settlement to the petitioner.
2.The case of the petitioner is that he was working in the respondent Corporation. After completion of 25 years of service, he retired from service on 30.06.2022.

3.The grievance of the petitioner is that 14th wage settlement was reached belatedly and it was also extended to retired employees. However, the terminal benefits of the petitioner was not settled as per 14th wage settlement. According to the petitioner, he is entitled to get difference in payment of terminal benefits as per the 14th wage settlement. The petitioner in this regard had made a representation to the respondent on 23.09.2024. Since the same did not evoke any response, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 4.Heard Mr.V.S.Jagadeesan, learned counsel for petitioner, Mr.R.Venkatesa Perumal, learned Standing Counsel for the 1st respondent and Mr.C.S.K.Sathish, learned Standing Counsel for 2nd respondent. 5.
