This writ petition has been filed challenging the order of suspension passed against the petitioner by the respondent through the impugned proceedings dated 02.03.2024.

2.Heard Mr.Dineshkumar, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.David Sundar Singh, learned Standing counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent.

3.The case of the petitioner is that he was working as an Inspector of Assessment. An FIR came to be registered in Crime No.3 of 2024 and the petitioner was arrayed as an accused. In view of the same, the order of suspension came to be passed by the respondent through proceedings dated 02.03.2024.

4.The order of suspension was kept in force for a prolonged period and therefore, the petitioner made a representation dated 22.08.2024, seeking for 2/4

revocation of the order of suspension. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court challenging the order of suspension.

5.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the nature of grievance expressed by the petitioner, it will suffice if a direction is given to the respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 22.08.2024, seeking for revocation of the order of suspension, on its own merits and in accordance with law and a decision shall be taken, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 6.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions.
