Prayer in WP.No.2379 of 2017: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the Director General of Police, Kamarajar Road, Mylapore, Chennai- 600004 namely the 3rd respondent herein from initiating any police action by labelling the petitioner as unqualified as he is a Registered Indian Medical practitioner and thus ensure the safety of his profession in the field of Indian System of Medicine in Ayurvedha at No.146/150 Bhavani Main Road, Kilvani, Kilvani Post via-Athani, Anthiyur Taluk, Erode District, Erode- 638 502. Tippusulthan, Government Advocate for R2 & R4 COMMON ORDER These writ petitions have been filed forbearing the Director General of Police, Kamarajar Road, Mylapore, Chennai- 600004 namely the 3rd respondent herein from initiating any police action by labelling the petitioners as unqualified as they are registered Indian Medical practitioner and thus ensure the safety of their profession in the field of Indian System of Medicine in Ayurvedha.
2. When the case was taken up, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that as the matters have become infructuous, these writ petitions may be dismissed as not pressed. He also made endorsements in the case bundles to that effect.
