Mr.P.Gurunathan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes for the respondents. With the consent of both the parties the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage, itself.

The petitioner has come up with the present Writ Petition for a mandamus, directing the respondents to consider and dispose of his representation dated 02.12.2018, wherein and whereby, he requested the respondents to allot alternative place, which is adjacent to his property in S.Nos.56/2, 55/4, 56/1B, 56/1A, 68/1 and 68/5 at Satharai Village, Tiruvallur Taluk, Tiruvallur District as compensation for acquiring the subject property for forming the public road.

3. Today, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 02.12.2018.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents submitted that respondents may be directed to consider the Pg.Nos.2/5

petitioner's representation and pass orders on merits in accordance with law.

5. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, the respondents are directed to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 02.12.2018, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
