Respondents PRAYER: The Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to quash the order of the 4th respondent dated 28.11.2022 bearing No.CL-13034/9/2019-APDCHENNAI/3306 which will result in so far as discontinuing the services of the 123 employees as illegal, arbitrary, and contrary to law and consequently, direct the respondents not to discontinue the employment of the 123 members of the petitioner Union, whose names are given in the Annexure to the Writ petition, who are doing the work of collecting parking fees and lane 2/5
management at Chennai Airport and forbear the respondents from replacing the services of 123 members of the petitioner Union by new set of employees through the 8th respondent.

Both sides' counsels present and represented that a fresh contract was awarded and the employees in the petitioner Union were replaced as fresh contract employees. Therefore, the prayer in this petition becomes 'infructuous'. The petitioner Union is at liberty to approach the Labour Court for appropriate remedy..
