ORDER

This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025.

2.The allegation in this case is that on 22.04.2016, the accused organized a dance program which continued beyond the permitted time. A case was registered in Cr.No.107 of 2016 on 22.04.2016 for the alleged offence under Sections 188 of the I.P.C. The final report was filed on 12.09.2018, and the accused have been facing trial since then.

3.The offence is only under Section 188 of I.P.C. which cannot be taken cognizance except by way of private complaint. No useful purpose will be served by continuing the case. 4.Accordingly, the case in S.T.C.No.635 of 2018 of Judicial Magistrate Court No.I, Ulundurpet Taluk, Kallakurichi, stands quashed. This Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of. 15.09.2025 ep Note to the Trial Court: This order is digitally signed and communicated electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary.
