ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to give adequate police protection to the petitioner's life and property by considering representation dated 19.12.2022.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that petitioner is a lessee of one D.Thangavelu. He took lease of land for cultivation of crops. While he was in possession, he filed a suit in O.S.No.48 of 2021 against D.Thangavelu and obtained interim injunction. Later, he also filed Interlocutory Application in I.A.No.183 of 2021 seeking police protection for cultivation of crops, however, the petition was dismissed. His lease period is already over, petitioner is still in possession and enjoyment of the property. Therefore, this petition.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that petition enquiry is pending.

4. Considered the rival submissions. It was the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner that though temporary injunction was granted against D.Thangavelu, it was a time bound temporary injunction till 22.12.2021. Thereafter, it appears that the injunction was not extended. Petition filed by the petitioner in I.A.No.183 of 2021 seeking police protection for cultivating crops, was dismissed holding that petitioner's lease period is to be expired soon.
5. In the light of the dismissal of I.A.No.183 of 2021 and by considering the relevant documents, this Court is of the view that the petitioner's prayer of seeking police protection cannot be entertained.
6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 19.01.2023 Internet:Yes/No sma 3/4
