Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus calling for the entire records leading to the detention of petitioner's son Gopalakrishnan, aged 53 years, S/o.Rangasamy, presently detained at Central Prison, Salem, under Act 14/1982, as a "Goonda" vide detention order dated 25.10.2019 in C.M.P.No.46/Goonda/C2/2019 on the file of second respondent herein, directing to produce the person or body of the detenu before this Court and thereafter, set him at liberty from Central Prison, Salem, by setting aside the above order.

Petitioner is the father of the detenu viz., Gopalakrishnan S/o.Rangasamy, aged 53 years, who has been branded as 'Goonda' under Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 and detained under orders of second respondent passed in C.M.P.No.46/Goonda/C2/2019 dated 25.10.2019. Such order is under challenge herein.

2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the detention order passed against the son of the petitioner in C.M.P.No.46/Goonda/C2/2019 dated 25.10.2019 on the file of the second respondent is revoked vide G.O.Rt.No.5272, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIV) Department, dated 16.12.2019 and produced a copy of the said order.

In view of the above, this petition is closed as it has become infructuous.
