This Writ Miscellaneous Petition has been filed seeking to grant a further period of six months time to complete the investigation and file a final report as per the direction of this court dated 13.12.2022 made in W.P.No. 33511 of 2022. Since the final report could not be submitted within a time stipulated by this court, the petitioners police 1 and 2 have sought for further extension of time. Accordingly, the matter is listed today.

2. Today, when the matter taken up for hearing, learned counsel for petitioners police would submit that since the accused are belong to other State of Odisha, they need some more time to complete the investigation and file a final report. Accordingly, he filed this petition seeking for extension of time for the submission of final report. 1/3

3. Considering his submissions, this court is inclined to extend the time for the period of four months from the date of receipt of copy of this order for completion of investigation and file a final report.
