Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the Election Notification issued by the Gummudipoondi Bar Association dated 07.11.2022 and quash the same and consequently direct the Gummudipoondi Bar Association to finalise the eligible voters list following mandatory requirement of 'one bar one vote' as per the certificate and Place of Practice (Verification) Rules, 2015 and to conduct the election as per Rules and Bye - Laws of the Association. (Order of the Court was made by R. MAHADEVAN, J.) Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the election has already been conducted on 03.12.2022 and the office bearers also assumed charges and therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication. The learned counsel has also made an endorsement to that effect in the case bundle. 2/4
2. Recording the above submission and endorsement made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
