O R D E R

By consent of both the parties, this writ petition has been taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. Mr.E.Sundaram, learned Government Advocate accepts notice for the respondent.

3. This writ petition has been filed seeking for a limited relief.

4. The petitioner seeks for early disposal of her appeal, dated 14.04.2021 which is pending on the file of the respondent. Aggrieved by order dated 01.04.2021 under which, the earlier order directing the petitioner to join duty as a Protection Officer has been recalled, she has filed an appeal, which is pending on the file of the 1st respondent. Susbequently, the petitioner has sent subsequent reminders on 05.07.2021, 08.10.2021 and 29.11.2021 seeking for early disposal of her appeal. Since the representations of the petitioner have not been considered, she has filed this writ petition.

5. Heard Mr. T.Gowthaman, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.E.Sundaram, learned Government Advocate for the respondent.

6. No prejudice would be caused to the respondent, if a direction is issued to the respondent to pass final orders on the petitioner's appeal 2/4

dated 14.04.2021 on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

7. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's appeal dated 14.04.2021, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

8. With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
