The petitioner/A4 seeks anticipatory bail in Crime No.482 of 2023 registered by the respondent police for the offence punishable under Sections 4(1)(aaa), 4(1-A) of TN Prohibition Act.

2. It is stated that the A1, A2 and A3 had been arrested and were found in possession of 5 litres of illicit arrack, apart from 276 bottles of TASMAC liquor. They had been granted bail, but this petitioner had evaded arrest.

3. Taking into consideration of the substantial seizure of TASMAC liquor, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
