This application is presented by defendants 1, 2 and 4 to condone the delay of 140 days in filing the written statement. On instructions, learned counsel for the plaintiff submits that he has no objection to this application being allowed.

2. Upon examining the affidavit in support and being satisfied that sufficient cause is shown, this application is allowed. Consequently, the Registry is directed to receive the written statement of the defendants 1, 2 and 4. Learned counsel for the defendants 5 and 6 and learned counsel for the defendants 7 and 8 submit that they have filed applications to condone the delay in filing the written statement. They seek time to number and list the same.
