The petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in Crime No.179 of 2023 registered by the respondent police for the offence punishable under Sections 420, 294 (b) and 506 (1) of Indian Penal Code, 1860.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the de-facto complainant has approached the first accused and requested loan amount and the first accused had demanded that the property of the defacto complainant should be changed to the name of the first accused. The defacto complainant also obliged and the name was also changed, but, however after the property had been transferred to the first accused, the first accused did not lend any amount. It is stated that the property is worth nearly about Rs.1 Crore. A1,A3 and A4 had been taken into custody and are still in custody. The allegation against the Petitioner is that he has signed as a witness in that particular document where the name was changed to the name of first accused.

3. In view of the fact that the defacto complainant has lost the property, had not received any amount as loan, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
