ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 3rd respondent herein to conduct an enquiry and make necessary entry in "A" register of Orangur Village and issue patta in the name of the petitioner house admeasuring an extent of 3 cents, comprised in Survey No.348/1 which is situated at Orangur Village, Veppur Taluk, Cuddalore District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 22.06.2021.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he is a physically challenged person and he has entitled the scheme of IAY (Indira Awas Yojana). In the year 2013 to 2014, the Central Government had issued a free home under the scheme of IAY and providing materials to construct the house in the above said survey number. As per work order in I.D.No.267567, building materials supplied by the competent authority and completed the house and he has been in possession and enjoyment of the house as per the scheme of IAY. In this regard, he has made a representation to the third respondent dated 22.06.2021 for issuance of patta but no action has been taken. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

4. Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case, the third respondent is directed to issue notice to the petitioner and also the rival claimants/interested party if any and give an opportunity to them and conduct an enquiry on the representation of the petitioner dated 22.06.2021 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
