This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to shift the existing electricity service Connection No.01-193-024-61 from Door Old No.18/2 New No.37, Subedhar Hussain Street, Border Thottam, Royapettah, Chennai 600 014 to Door No.15/29, Samyachari Street, Royapettah, Chennai 600 014 owned by the petitioner.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner has given a representation, dated 5/10/2016 to the respondents 1 and 2, with regard to issuance of electricity connection to Door No.15/29, Samyachari Street, Page No:2/4

Royapettah, Chennai 600 014. Since the same has not been considered so far, petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition.

3. Heard Mr.M.S.Govindarajan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.L.Jai Venkatesh, learned counsel for the respondents 1 and 2. There is no representation on behalf of the respondents 3 to 5.

4. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that he is ready to bear the expenses for shifting of old service connection to the new address.

5. Submission of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner is recorded.

6. As the petitioner seeks to shift the E.B connection to the new Door number, second respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner, and shift the same by collecting all the necessary charges, as per Regulations 5 (6) of the Supply Code. The said exercise has to be carried out, within a period of four months, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. N. SATHISH KUMAR, J Page No:3/4
