The prayer sought for herein is for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to survey the petitioners land bearing S.No.20/1B bearing Plot 1 / 4
Nos.115 and 116 to a total extent 2400 sq.ft at Lakshmi Narasima Nagar Extension, Kondapalliyam Village, Sholinghur Taluk, Ranipet District and demarcate the same by metes and bounds and after assigning sub-division number issue separate patta in the petitioner's name considering the petitioner's representation dated 24.09.2022.

The petitioner claims to have lands at S.No.20/1B bearing Plot Nos.115 and 116 to an total extent 2400 sq.ft at Lakshmi Narasima Nagar Extension, Kondapalliyam Village, Sholinghur Taluk, Ranipet District. In order to subdivide the land and get assignment/patta, the petitioner made an online application on 01.04.2022 followed by a representation on 24.09.2022. However, so far since no action has been taken, the petitioner has moved the present writ petition.
3. Heard Mr.P.R.Thiruneelakandan learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondent.

Learned Special Government Pleader submits that, in order to act upon on the on-line application submitted by the petitioner dated 24.09.2022, six weeks time is required as notice has to be given to the neighbours as well as the other co-owners of the property, if it is a large extent, before surveying the land. 2 / 4
5. Having considered the said submission of the learned Special Government Pleader this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following order.
" That there shall be a direction to the respondent to consider the on-line application submitted on 01.04.2022 for surveying the land by metes and bounds and to subdivide the same for the purpose of issuance of patta. The needful as indicated above shall be undertaken by the respondent within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
