The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 294 (b), 353, 506 (i) IPC r/w under Section 24 (1) of Cigarette and Other Tobacco Products Act, 2003, in Crime No.617 of 2023, on the file of the respondent police seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Thus, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail for the petitioner. 3.It is stated by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing on behalf of the respondent that the petitioner is the second accused and the owner of the shop, where, 79 numbers of prohibited Mava packets were seized. The first accused is an employee under the petitioner. He was arrested and released on bail. Thus, he prayed for dismissal of this petition. 4.The petitioner being the owner of the shop, will necessarily have to subjugate himself to the process of law. Therefore, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
