Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation dated 22.09.2023 and to take appropriate action as may be necessary to stall the taking of the alluvial sand from the lakes and other water-bodies in the Kallakurichi District over and above the permitted limit.

2. A direction is sought to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.09.2023.

3. Learned State Government Pleader submits that the representation of the petitioner would be considered by the authority within a period of three months.
