ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent herein to rectify the error committed in the "A" Register with regard to the lands in Survey No.441/2A and 441/2B, Chitoor Village, Jalagandapuram Taluk, Salem District by appropriately showing the name of the owner as Muniappan instead of PWD Kuttai as per the report of the 3rd respondent dated 19.01.2018.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that already the 3rd respondent/RDO has sent a recommendation to the 2nd respondent/DRO for the rectification of the said mistake. However, the mistake has not been carried out. Therefore, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

3. Heard and perused the materials available on record.

4. Admittedly, the 3rd respondent/RDO has already sent a recommendation on 19.01.2018 itself, to the 2nd respondent/DRO for the rectification of the said mistake in the "A" Register. However, till now, it has not been rectified.

Therefore, the respondents are directed to give notice to the petitioner, adjacent land owners of the petitioner's property, interested parties/rival claimants if any, and after giving notice, conduct enquiry in the manner known to law and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to the costs.
